Meeting Topic: Climate Change and the Trump Administration

Donald Trump is a global warming denier. He is in the process of “cancelling” the Paris climate agreement and repeal the Clean Power Plan—the twin pillars of President Barack Obama’s efforts to cut greenhouse gas emissions. He’s trying to revive the coal industry and expand the oil industry.

The recent drought, deadly wildfires, debilitating hurricanes and heat waves are already battering the United States showing that climate change is real. Something urgently has to be done or there will be worsening catastrophes.
